StageAbility provides after school drama classes for children and young people of all ages right up to 24 years old. Our weekly classes teach young people how to act through a unique array of drama, song and dance related activities all of which are delivered by dynamic enthusiastic professionals who have trained to become actors themselves.

But our classes aren’t about teaching everyone to become actors, far from it. Our classes are geared towards fun and the embodiment of a spirit that grows strong bonds of friendship, the development of confidence and an ability to communicate ideas and opinions through the disciplines of drama song and dance.

We motivate with praise and nurture the talents of all youngsters who want to be a part of a performing arts environment. For those who want it, we mount regular full stage productions in local theatres where the true skills of acting come in to play.

The Business

Established in 1992, StageAbility has grown to 11 schools offering classes to over 400 students every week and during school holidays we run workshops and summer holiday projects. Our business format is a simple one, easily run from home with low overheads and excellent return. A franchisee does not have to be an actor or teacher although this opportunity certainly suits them. We train our franchisee to source experienced dynamic tutors to grow their business and provide all the training they need to deliver our teaching syllabus. Our Teaching modules are unique to us and whenever a franchisee establishes their business, access to our head office team and resources is 24/7.

Training and Support

From our base in Braintree, Essex we deliver a comprehensive training programme for our franchisees; teaching them how to use our proven system, administrate the business, manage a team and tap into the popularity of the growing market place.

We offer on-site training where we spend time with our newly appointed partners working from their

region so we can help source venues, develop a marketing strategy and help with the initial launch of a new school.

Our training extends to both tutors and administrators working within the franchisees business with onsite training given when required, as well as annual refresher courses for the entire network of StageAbility Franchises.

Financial Information

StageAbility offers a start up Franchisee the chance to develop a number of schools within a territory. Our entry level licence is £3000 plus VAT. We believe in our system and therefore, by making sure we recruit the right people for the job; know that our costs will be covered by the success we can achieve with a new partner.

For a management service fee of only 11.5%, we provide you and your tutors with a planned weekly teaching module which perpetuates the growth of the school and is completely unique to StageAbility.
